JTF SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Fostering College STEM Success

The JTF scholarship is awarded to academically gifted but economically disadvantaged engineering students at IITs and NIITs across all of India to fund their 4-year college education. Many of these scholars are the first person in their family to attend college. Currently, the scholarship has been awarded to 22 scholars including 10 women from diverse backgrounds. The program  includes soft skills training for career development. During their 2nd year, each student is paired with a JTF mentor in our Mentoring program,  to support and guide them through college and into careers in STEM. JTF assists the students with securing internships as well as a stepping stone to permanent employment.

JTF has partnered with Foundation for Excellence (FFE) to administer this program in India. FFE is a philanthropic foundation created to provide scholarships to bright students with financial constraints to pursue professional degrees and transform their lives. The FFE-JTF scholars have also informally committed to funding at least 2 future scholars after they graduate. It  costs only USD 3000 to sponsor a student for the entire 4 year of engineering. 90% of the funds go to the student. Funds are raised through donations and JTF’s goal is to fund at least 100 students by 2026. There are many more deserving students that JTF is unable to fund currently but hope to help in the future.
